When it comes to the most popular and well known brands of eyelash enhancers, Idol Lash (IL) and Latisse (LT) are the two that are usually in the conversation. Both of these brands have been subject to rigorous testing, clinical trials and testing to assure both their safety and their effectiveness.
All of this research has gone on to show that both of these products, when used as directed, help you grow, longer, thicker looking, more beautiful eyelashes. So the big question remains; which of the two is the best?
Dense Lashes = More Lashes
First, let’s talk about claims. When speaking of thicker lashes…it is physically impossible to make existing eyelashes thicker. To correct any misconceptions “thicker” and “thicker looking” are not the same. While no product can make your eyelashes thicker, IL can and do make your eyelashes thicker looking. How do they do that and what’s the difference you ask? Thicker looking refers to eyelash density which means more lashes. Both LT and IL have been proven to increase eyelash density by growing more lashes by 80 and 82% respectively…with Idol Lash winning out by 2 percentage points.
Do Your Lashes Measure Up?
Long, sexy eyelashes create that much sought after look of beauty and elegance. A great eyelash enhancing product should help achieve that sexy celebrity look you’re after. Again both LT and IL run pretty close when it comes to enhancing eyelash length. In clinical studies, both products are reported to have increased eyelash length as much as 25 to 30 percent in participants who took part in the studies.
What You See Is What You Get
Okay enough of the scientific jargon…show me the money!
When will you start seeing results you ask?
In the clinical trials, participants have been reported to see results in as little as 2 weeks, using Idol Lash. The full effects of both products could not be observed until
28-30 days of continuous application.
Okay, not bad to have to wait 2 to 4 weeks for beautiful eyelashes but how long does it last? Eyelash enhancing products actually work to build up the lashes from the root up, unlike makeup that is applied and removed every day. To achieve and maintain your luscious lashes, you would need to continue to use both products on an ongoing basis. However, if you choose to stop using them, you will still see your results remain for about 1 to 2 months after. There would be time for you to decide if you wanted to invest in the product into the future.
What About Safety?
Up until now both Latisse and Idol Lash have run a close race in providing beautiful eyelashes. When it comes to side effect, this is where a definite line can be drawn.
While Idol Lash has not been reported to cause any serious side effects, Latisse unfortunately cannot make the same claim. Latisse on the other hand has some potentially serious side effects that you should be aware of. The Latisse website warns that care should be taken when using this product as in some cases such side effects have occurred::
“use may cause darkening of the eyelid skin which may be reversible”
The company goes on to say:
“….use may cause increased brown iris pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely to be permanent. “
I’ll Let Those 2 Comments Speak For Themselves…
Idol Lash on the other hand does not at this time cause nor have there been reported any dangerous side effects and great care has been taken to use some of best and most natural ingredients in this product. Please don’t take my word for it , I am not a doctor and can only speak from the research I have done. I encourage you to try Idol Lash for yourself and please perform an allergy skin test with the product by applying some to the inside of your wrist and waiting 24 hours to see if you may have a reaction. they have a 90 day return policy if you should have any problems.
There are so many products out there claiming to be the fountain of youth and the greatest thing since sliced bread. I hope I have at least given you an honest, side by side comparison of these two eyelash enhancing products.
Please continue to do some investigating on your own.
